Public hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the office closed from noon to 1:00 p.m. Jail administration is a separate function at 231-724-7113. Use these routes according to the record or status needed.
- For a county booking record or releasable photograph, begin with the Muskegon County arrest-record search path, then submit a precise county FOIA request if needed.
- For a city police report, contact the records office for Muskegon, Norton Shores, or Muskegon Heights. A city record may not be held by the county sheriff even when the person later entered the county jail.
